Customer Review

Looks good, hard to fit edges

Contents: For the full 2 x 2 drop-down, this tile is very attractive. However, the challenge arises when cutting pieces that are not full. You really have to manipulate it to ensure it drops down properly, but it still might not look quite right. We're now trying to tape it down on the inside in hopes that it will look better.

Be sparing with glue

Contents: These tiles are great and look amazing. However, here are a few things to keep in mind: take your time when putting them up, as it's easy to accidentally twist them, especially if your ceiling is slightly uneven. Caulking between them can be messier than anticipated. Consider using 3/4" molding tape to finish between sections instead. Also, be mindful of the glue you use. Depending on the lighting, shadows may be visible where heavier glue has been applied under the tiles.

Looks Good But Need Patience

Contents: The quality of the tiles is decent, but they lose some firmness once you start cutting them. If you choose a design, be aware that matching the pattern and getting the tiles around the edge of the room to sit flush might be challenging. Although the tiles around the edge of the room aren't perfectly flush, it's something I can live with. I managed to cut most of the tiles with just a box cutter and regular scissors, but I'm sure there's a more efficient way to do it. Towards the end, my patience wore thin with all the measuring and cutting. The white tiles are easy to clean and withstand a 6-pound kitten that's found a way to get up in the ceiling and walk on them. However, the black color shows everything, so be prepared to clean them more frequently.

Easy to work with on a standard 2x2 T-bar ceiling.

Contents: For my basement bathroom ceiling, these tiles worked much better than regular ceiling tile, especially in a high humidity area.

Better than expected!

Contents: I was initially skeptical when I ordered these, but I must say, I love them. I took my time to center the first tile on our ceiling fan and worked out from there, ensuring it was as close to square with the room as possible. Given that this house is over 100 years old and not everything is perfectly square, this took some effort. However, they were fairly easy to cut and went up with some glue. They look great, and now we'll see how they hold up—or rather, how the glue holds the tiles up!

Now over priced

Contents: The design was very nice, and at $90, not $115, it was a great deal.

Far exceeded expectations

Contents: We needed to insulate a cathedral ceiling without breaking the bank. These tiles were a breeze to install, and their feather-light weight made maneuvering on the ladder a breeze. Plus, they look so good that I'm now considering painting the walls to match the ceiling's new aesthetic!

As described, worked well.

Contents: The tiles were exactly as described. We required them for a bathroom to replace old, broken, and discolored tiles that looked dated. The lip was slightly different on some of the tiles, but they were easily trimmed down with scissors. Overall, we're pleased with how they look. However, I'm uncertain whether I would use them in my main room since they're paper-thin and wouldn't help with sound transfer. I'm considering experimenting to see if I could use them under the acoustic tile. The tiles were exactly as described. Easy upgrade of old drop ceiling

Contents: These tiles provided a lightweight and cost-effective solution to upgrade my basement drop ceiling. They were half the price of similar-looking, but sturdier tiles available at Lowe’s. Despite being a 60-year-old woman, I managed to do the replacement myself (except for the light fixtures that needed replacing). Swapping out the whole tiles was a breeze. However, making cuts was a bit more tedious because I had to carve back the 3-D grooves to ensure they lay flat without sagging. Fortunately, they are flexible enough to fold into tighter spaces and snap back to shape.

Easy install

Contents: Cutting through it was like slicing through butter, installation was a piece of cake, and it arrived neatly packaged.
