I do have some experience tiling and many tiling tools. This is my first time using natural shell tile. I loved the look of these tiles. I used bright white premium thin-set mortar designed for use with glass tiles. Make sure you press every one of the tiles down! I wiped the tiles repeatedly before the thin-set hardened to make sure none of it was above the tiles. The tiles are VERY thin, but pretty strong. I used scissors to cut the mesh apart when needed. I used a Dremel with a diamond blade to cut the tiles. Since they were so small and I read a lot of the reviews; I decided to use painters tape to tape the tiles I needed to cut to a piece of wood and then cut them with the Dremel. It worked well. Wear safety glasses. I also used a premium unsanded Polymer-enriched grout in white. It looks even better than I thought it would!

Tile arrived on time and as stated. We have used this tile before in a much larger kitchen than we know have. It brightens up the space and makes it looks shiny clean. Easy to apply and grout!

These tiles are very beautiful! People in other reviews complained that they are thin... Well they are REAL Mother of Pearl. A Oyster shell isn't that thick, so these are basically a veneer. If they were thicker they would have to be applied to a 2nd tile underneath basically or just be faux tiles which are quite expensive as well. I am using them 1st on my stair risers. Absolutely gorgeous, It does take time to install them since they are so thin, but it is definitely worth the effort & time invested.

These genuine mother of pearl tiles are just lovely. They were 30% less expensive here than what my local tile store was selling them for. I had them professionally installed. It was a bit hard for even an experienced tile guy to get the seams between the tiles close enough, but any tiny gaps were easily filled with caulking. We used the peel and stick faux chrome edging from the same seller to finish off the edges, since there’s no way to use metal tile edging or border tiles, the mother of pearl material is too thin for that. It looks so high end and I get complimented on my backsplash all the time. Love them!

Loved this tile! This tile is very light weight and thin. We ended up using an adhesive mat which is making install go quick. I just love the way it sparkles. There are hints of brown and grey, very slight, as well as pink, but mostly white. You will love. A Show Stopper for Sure! I had a few questions and the seller was very responsive to my needs. I highly recommend!

: Easy to cut Dec 08, 2021

So, I bought this to spot fix tiles where the pearl inlay had rubbed off. I cut out one piece and it fits perfectly on the spot that needed it. Day to day you would not know this was there. I do wish the backing wasn't so thick, but i get I am using it in a way it wasn't intended. Has been on the bad tile piece for 2 months and no sign of movement. Still looks good.
